TA RigRip: Ripper -
This Script will "Rip" a Hierarchy, storing a map of its Hierarchy, (in the location of your choice,) to be re-applied later using TA RigRip Stitcher.
TA RigRip: Stitcher -
This Script will re-"Stitch" a Hierarchy from the Hierarchy map stored by TA RigRip Ripper.
Why:
Getting _just_ the right Bone placement in a model can mean the difference between a Rigging that yields something that looks natural and believable... and something that looks like a Transporter accident.
"Re-Hanging" Bones from one Model to another is a quick way to preserve all your carefully-laid-out settings... but if you, for instance, get all the Bones of the hand and arm in place... and then realize that you'd like to make a small adjustment to the Shoulder... you've got to re-adjust all the Child-Bones once you've made that tweak...
...Unless...
You Un-Parent all the Child-Bones first, re-parenting them after the tweak, (a somewhat time-consuming task).
I've built this pair of Scripts so I can instantly "Rip" a Hierarchy... Parenting all its Items to the Selected Root... while _storing_ the Hierarchy information, so you can instantly "Stitch" that Hierarchy back together again!
NOTE: This Script works wonderfully with
TA Poseworks'
"Pose Copy" and "Mirror-Paste" to make quick work of rigging a Symmetrical Hierarchy!!! :)
