After talking with many people on my FA page, and even more people in person at Anthrocon, I have made the choice to go full-steam-ahead with this "Grassroots" method of donation/subscription -based funding for the Kaze feature film!

Thank you everyone for your rousing support, and belief in me and the project!

It was a little scary at first, thinking about this, knowing that once I commit to this method, that's it. The movie will be done that way. When it comes to filmmaking, I only work in realms of success.


The concept really came about when I had applied to Dreamworks, and was about to apply to PIXAR. Both wonderful companies, and I'm sure I would have very much enjoyed working for them... but the thing is: I give 100% of myself to whatever it is I'm doing. Period.

This is why I disappeared from the Community for the last 3-4 years. I had devoted myself to a Path that led me away from those I loved, but I was committed to that Path, and so gave all of myself to it.

Among the positives that walking that Path left me with, was proof that the production methods used on the proof-of-method short film, Kaze, Ghost Warrior were 100% applicable when put under the high-pressure situations of the highest end TV Visual Effects production.

When I was brought onto Battlestar Galactica, I replaced an entire outsource studio, taking over 99% of the Cylon Centurion shots for season 3, and 90% of the Cylon Centurion shots for Razor.

As part of the VFX team on BSG, I was awarded Emmy, Peabody and VFX Society awards for my contributions.


...So, knowing how I devote my focus in its entirety... I knew that should I go to PIXAR or Dreamworks, that would become my entire life... and the Kaze feature film would be pushed-back... and back... and back.


It was 2Gryphon who suggested I talk with my fans and ask what they thought.

I was blown-away by the response. And I am grateful that so many of you remember with such fondness, a simple story of a warrior who has come back to avenge his love... a test primarily of production pipeline methods.


When something has never been done before... the first time it is done, the question is: "Can it be done?"

The next time it is done the question is: "How good can this be done?"


The production pipeline has been tested and proofed in several different environments now.

The question now is: "How good can I make the Kaze feature film."



I am dedicated to making this film to be absolute top-notch in every aspect.

And I am dedicated to making the journey of this film's creation educational, inspirational and an absolute blast to watch!
